Microsoft to release six updates next Patch Tuesday

Microsoft has announced that it will release four updates for Windows and two updates for Office on the next Patch Tuesday, the 10th of November. The patches for Windows will address four critical remote code execution vulnerabilities. Affected versions of Windows include Windows 2000 SP4, XP, Vista and Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Windows 7 is not mentioned and does not seem to be affected.

The two updates for Office, rated as important, address vulnerabilities in various versions of Excel and the Excel Viewer. Office XP, 2003 and 2007 and Office 2004 and 2008 for Mac are affected.
