Microsoft to patch nine security vulnerabilities on Patch Tuesday
Microsoft has announced that it will release nine security updates on the next Patch Tuesday, the 11th of August. Five of the security updates reportedly patch critical vulnerabilities that could lead to remote code execution in Windows and a variety of other software. According to Microsoft, one or more of the critical vulnerabilities can be found in its Office, Visual Studio, ISA Server and BizTalk Server products.
Four other updates will patch vulnerabilities, rated as Important, which affect Windows and Microsoft's .NET Framework and could lead to a denial of service (DoS) attack, user privilege escalation or the remote execution of arbitrary code.
