Microsoft: massive patch day planned
Microsoft has announced that it plans to release a total of 17 bulletins for its upcoming April Patch Tuesday, patching 64 security vulnerabilities in its products. The company rates nine of the bulletins as "critical"; the remaining eight are rated as "important".
Affected products include Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, Visual Studio, the .NET Framework and GDI+. Microsoft also says that the updates will address vulnerabilities in MHTML and SMB that have been known of since the beginning of the year.
