Too short for news, too good to lose; lost+found is a round up of useful security information. Today, Nmap, WordPress, Clouds and Employees.

Nmap 5.10BETA1 features 14 new LUA scripts, among them smb-psexec for starting remote processes, dhcp-discover for collecting DHCP server responses, and http-enum for searching web servers for know directories.

The Internet Storm Center reports that hackers are trying to crack the admin passwords of WordPress blogs using distributed attacks.

Many enterprises are still hesitant to use cloud services. According to a study which is soon to be released, security concerns are given as the reason in 50 per cent of cases.

In terms of data theft and potential sabotage, around 70 per cent of enterprises consider full-time employees a greater threat than temporary staff or subcontractors. A study concludes that this is probably because the activities of non-permanent staff are monitored more closely.
