Zoom IDA Pro's Linux GUI utilises the Qt graphics library.
Belgian software vendor Hex-Rays has released version 6.0 of its IDA Pro disassembler and debugger and version 1.4 of its decompiler. The most significant new feature is undoubtedly full support for Linux and Mac OS X in both the graphical disassembler and the decompiler. Prior to this release, Linux and Mac users had been limited to the disassembler / debugger which was operated by a rather crude text interface and a keyboard layout that differed from that used in the Windows version. The new interface for Linux and Mac OS X utilises Qt and is broadly based on the classic Windows GUI. This will allow many IDA Pro users to dispense with using a Windows VM.

Zoom The Mac version does not require X11, instead, like the Linux version, it uses Qt.
Other changes include various bug fixes and some improved functions, but overall, Windows users will see little change. According to Hex-Rays, reading and writing to project databases (.idb files) is now faster, the disassembler is now able to read HP-UX core files, IA64 support has been improved and there is a new parser for Mach-O files. The decompiler now supports enum bitmasks, references to volatile memory areas and the octal system. Prices for the disassembler, decompiler and renewals remain unchanged. The price for the standard edition of IDA Pro is €630 (£545) the decompiler for either x86 or ARM costs around €1,720 (£1488) with a discount for bundles.
