GlobalSign says that only its isolated web server was compromised. As a result of the attacks and subsequent compromise of the DigiNotar certificate authority, and the later claims by the alleged hacker, GlobalSign stopped issuing certificates last week while it reviews its systems. GlobalSign says that the checks have only found evidence that the web server for www.globalsign.com was compromised. The firm says though that this server was always isolated from its other systems and only used to serve web content.

The company says it is beginning to reactivate its systems working with Cyber Defense Institute Japan. GlobalSign will be working through a "sequenced startup" today (Monday) and it currently expects to be able to process certificate orders from Tuesday morning.
