Distance learning: Scamming for dummies
The internet offers tutorials on just about any topic. US security blogger Brian Krebs has now discovered a kind of distance learning course for budding cyber criminals. For a fee, consecutive installments teach course participants how to obtain stolen credit card data, increase their scamming revenue and cover their tracks on the internet. The site's current crown jewel is a $500, 12 to 18-hour course about how to use the ZeuS trojan toolkit.
Whether this is another case of criminals attempting to scam other, less experienced, criminals remains unclear. In June, Krebs posted an article about how cyber crooks tried to trick petty criminals with non-functional skimming devices
