Dial-in problems after Microsoft patch
The patch for security bulletin MS06-025, which closed a weak point in Routing and Remote Access, is having a nasty side effect: users who dial into the Internet and have to use scripting or a terminal window to do so can no longer go online once they have installed the update.
In the meantime, Microsoft has updated the security bulletin and describes the problem there. The company has also announced that a new version of the update will be released. Microsoft recommends that users who need to dial into the Internet using scripting or a terminal window do not install the update until the next patch is released. Unfortunately, the company did not state when the new patch would be ready.
