Camino version 1.6.6 has been released. This is a security and stability update to Camino (formerly called Chimera), the Mac OS X only open source browser based on Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine. The update upgrades the version of Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine to 1.8.1.19, which closes several critical security and stability issues.

Also upgraded is the "block flash animations" code to use Flashblock 1.5.8, along with other improved ad-blocking capabilities. Version 1.6.6 requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher and is a universal binary for Intel and PPC. Camino is an alternative browser for the Mac for users who don't want to use the standard Safari browser and find that Firefox on the Mac isn't a good fit, visually or functionally, to the Mac environment.
