Activists from the Anonymous hacker group have launched a web site that is directed against right-wing organisations. On nazi-leaks.net they have published, among other things, lists of alleged donors to the NPD (the National Democratic Party, a nationalist party in Germany). The unknown portal operators say that the portal is part of Operation Blitzkrieg, a campaign in which the Anonymous hackers have, for several months, targeted the web presences of right-wing organisations. The German dpa press agency has not been able to verify the authenticity of the published information. In a statement, the NPD has said that it is still investigating the case and will probably file a complaint.

Nazi-leaks.net is a blog that allows users to post information via email. On Monday, the site contained information such as the customer lists of right-wing mail order services, contact details from Junge Freiheit magazine and internal NPD emails which were covered by the German media back in February. The domain was registered on 18 December 2011.

In a statement, Junge Freiheit magazine said that the list of editorial contacts released on nazi-leaks.net had already been disclosed in July – on the Indymedia web site. The publishers said that they have filed a complaint against unknown persons. "This is clearly a criminal act", said magazine editor Felix Krautkrämer. The editor pointed out that not all of the listed persons are authors, and that some are interview partners who are not actively involved in Junge Freiheit magazine.

NPD party spokesman Frank Franz said on Monday that he didn't know if the data was authentic, adding that his party will probably file complaints in "all conceivable areas" and that the NPD regards anything to do with hacking as a criminal act.

The web sites of right-wing groups are popular hacker targets, and attacks are frequent. For example, a group called "No-Name Crew" crippled about 25 NPD web sites and downloaded internal information in May 2011. The hackers were apprehended by the police following further activity. The web presences of right-wing organisations are attacked on a regular basis at the Chaos Computer Club's annual conventions.
