It seems that they did not even have an information security officer.
Big insurance company like that. Even companies that outsource their
IT still have an officer to make sure that the security solution is
well implemented.
It just kills me to see how only until something bad happens do they
then start to realize that you cannot just outsource everything. You
need to at least do something in-house, even as little as hiring 1
person just to over-see the process.
