You miss the point. Most of Adobe's problems arise from them
implementing a faulty ECMAscript/Javascript engine.
I may be blinkered, but a scripting feature is simply not required in
a static page layout format with table of contents and font
encapsulation. I cannot be alone in this view, because I've yet to
see a PDF that actually uses Javascript. It's Adobe that's alone in
its crusade to introduce fluff and nonsense into a perfectly good
file format.
