This is a great idea but they need to check it every time the browser
is started. It seems Mozilla updates come every few months? If so,
the user will be vulnerable for months on end. That's not going to
help as it is. Mozilla would do good to work with plugin vendors on
an update mechanism similar to Firefox add on's update system.
Firefox has its add-on mechanism, Adobe has it's own AIR update
mechanism, Eclipse has it's own as well and many others. Adopting a
standard for updates will help all plugin's and in turn all users.
