I seem to recall that with the introduction of Vista, there was a
fanfare about major re-writes and a complete review of code security.
So maybe it was just the code that was reviewed and not the APIs.
Then with Windows 7 we were told that security had definitely taken
top priority. Security of what? Seems that the only thing that's
secure is Microsoft's piggy-bank :(
