Wow, you're asking MS to reinvent the wheel? Wake up! We're using it
for many years already. Virtually any decent Linux distro comes with
"Packages manager" kind of program which greatly simplifies system
management stuff. You can install 20 programs in few minutes without
messing up with nasty setup wizards.Then, system will keep installed
stuff up to date as well.

Actually I wonder why MS got in stuck so much :).They have no new
cool file systems. They did not improved software management. They
did not improved kernel or whatever for ages. Windows is getting a
very boring system where only activation, DRM and other things to
screw you up are, uhm, "improved". Then they're mumbling something
about "many changes you can't see" :D
