Er managt das Geschäft und seine attraktive Frau kümmert sich um PR und Neukunden. Doch Matts Möchtegern-Gesellschafter Trevor lässt Julias 130.000 € Spesenabrechnung auffliegen und liefert Fotos mit einem anderen Mann. Kein Wunder, dass der krankhaft eifersüchtige und zum Alkoholismus neigende Matt rot sieht. Nach einem Gewaltausbruch gegenüber Julia wird Matt wenig später tot aufgefunden. Zuerst deuten alle Indizien auf Selbstmord hin, doch die Polizei und die Versicherung schalten sich ein. Plötzlich steht Julia auf der Abschussliste ... und die Mordintrige nimmt ihren Lauf.
