openSUSE Conference 2011 call for papers
The openSUSE project has announced that it is currently seeking submissions for talks, workshops and Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions for this year's openSUSE Conference. The third international conference will take place from 11 to 14 September 2011 in Nuremberg, Germany.
According to its organisers, the event is aimed at users, contributors and developers from both inside and outside of the openSUSE community. This year's conference motto is RWX3 – the UNIX acronym for "Read, Write, Execute", three times over for the user, the community and the rest of the world.
Suggested topics for submissions include "cloud, virtualisation and appliances", "touch screens, new form factors and architectures like ARM", educational software, the openSUSE Build Service, and "upstream project collaboration". Those submitting proposals are advised to first consult the code of conduct. Submissions will be chosen by the Program Committee. The deadline for submissions is 11 July.
More details, including submission requirements, can be found in the official call for papers news post. The final program will be posted closer to the conference. Admission is free of charge for community members.
