eZ Systems logo Norwegian software company eZ Systems has released version 4.7 of eZ Publish, its open source web content management system (CMS). According to the release notes, the new version, code-named "Etna", includes a number of improvements in search and analysis as well as in terms of productivity and teamwork.

The search function now features spell check functionality and automatic search suggestions. For the first time, eZ Publish is now available as a Cloud Edition that is based on the Red Hat Enterprise stack. The developers have also optimised the CMS for displaying content on mobile end devices.

eZ Publish is available in two editions, a free Community Edition licensed under GPLv2 and a paid version for businesses called eZ Publish Enterprise. The latter is available in three variants and includes maintenance and technical support services; extensions can also add a number of features to the Enterprise editions of the CMS.
