The Zenwalk developers have released a LiveCD edition of their popular "Zen computing" Linux distribution. The release is based on the current Zenwalk repository and is a nearly perfect clone of Zenwalk 6.0. The LiveCD includes the 2.6.28.7 Linux kernel, version 6.2.9 of the Linux-Live scripts, the latest security patches and bug fixes.

Zenwalk Live 6.0 now boots faster, includes a new Control Panel with integrated Disk Manager, Wi-Fi and Wired Network Manager and sees the addition of the Exaile music jukebox. The LiloFix and LiveClone native utilities have been completely re-written using Glade/Python. LiveClone includes new functionality that enables users to generate their own customised LiveUSB, or LiveCD. The release, like Zenwalk 6.0, includes a "lightweight and optimised" version of OpenOffice 3.0.1, the Totem video player and Brasero, the CD/DVD creation tool.

More details about the release can be found in the release announcement. Users that are relatively new to Linux will find an included Beginner's Guide and power users have access to Zenwalk's standard Technical Guide for advanced use and customisation. Zenwalk Live 6.0 is available to download (direct download).
