Version 1.2 of Zarafa's WebApp has been released with several new features aimed at both standard and power users alike. One of the most visible changes in this major update to the web interface for the Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP), the company's groupware solution, is the introduction of a new tab bar.

Located at the top of the message list and/or reading pane, the tab bar allows users to more quickly switch between items, including emails, contacts, calendars and meeting requests. The messaging and collaboration specialist says that the change should also make life easier for advanced users, as opened emails are no longer stacked on top of each other.

With meeting request delegation, secretaries and other designated users are able to manage meeting requests for other users. WebApp 1.2 also adds support for message filters in the email rules, and informs users about how much space is left in their inbox.

More details about the release can be found in the What's new in WebApp 1.2 page. Licensed under the AGPLv3, version 1.2 of WebApp is available from the company's Community Hub web site and requires ZCP 7.0.8 or 7.1 or later. An online demo of the new WebApp is also available.
