At this years Red Hat Summit, which starts tomorrow, the 18th of June, in Boston, Xandros will feature the Xandros BridgeWays xMC, a graphical management console for Red Hat. The graphical management tool allows network adminstrators, with no knowledge of Linux, to manage Red Hat servers.

In use, following installation, all that is required is to enter the IP of the Red Hat server. The software works with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.6, 5.1 and 5.2 and runs on almost any Windows or Linux desktop. The free version, available for download from the Xandros site, is entry-level, allows control of only a single server and is provided without support. A management licence must be purchased to manage two or more servers.
