WordPress for Android gains media improvements
Source: WordPress The WordPress developers have announced the release of version 1.3.6 of their WordPress for Android app. Using the mobile application, users can easily post to, and edit, their WordPress blogs from an Android mobile device.
According to the developers, the latest version of WordPress for Android includes "significant improvements" to the addition of media to user's blog posts and pages. Within the Android gallery app, users can now select multiple items to share and post in WordPress for Android. Additionally, media that has been added to a post is now displayed in a horizontally scrolling gallery view for easier viewing. A number of bugs have also been addressed, including a problem that occurred when sharing a video from the YouTube application and one that prevented new account information from loading correctly.
More details about the release, including a short video tutorial, can be found in the official release announcement. WordPress for Android 1.3.6 is available to download via the Android Market and supports both WordPress.com and self-hosted blogs, requiring WordPress 2.7 or later.
Like WordPress, WordPress for Android 1.3.6 is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Users interested in contributing to the application are encouraged to do so via the WordPress for Android project developer portal.
