Tasktop Logo Tasktop Technologies, the company behind the task-oriented Eclipse Mylyn interface technology, and Microsoft are presenting the public beta of the Tasktop plug-in for Visual Studio at the CeBIT show (hall 2, booth D44). Scheduled to be completed in the next quarter, the plug-in connects Tasktop's commercial and Mylyn's integrating task management system with Microsoft's development environment and the Team Foundation Server. Tasktop and Eclipse Mylyn offer a task management and version tracking solution for source code in development, facilitating such tasks as source code querying and multi-tasking.

Tasktop's integration programme also allows Visual Studio to be extended by about 50 further products that affect the application lifecycle, for example IBM's Rational ClearQuest, HP's ALM and Quality Center, Atlassian, CollabNet and Polarion, as well as such open-source technologies as Bugzilla, Subversion and Hudson. Conversely, Mylyn users will have access to the Team Foundation Server's ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) features.
