LynxSecure The real-time operating system and embedded Linux specialist LynuxWorks has released LynxSecure 3.1, the first update in the 3.0 development line of its security-certified hypervisor for embedded systems. The solution allows running multiple fully virtualised and/or paravirtualised guests independently from each other.

In addition to Windows XP guest systems, the hypervisor now also supports Windows 7, Vista and Windows 2003 as well as Intel Core2 Duo implementations like the "American Portwell Wade 8067" platform, which allows virtualised guest operating systems to be run almost at a system’s own performance level. According to LynuxWorks, LynxSecure is the only operating system designed to support both Common Criteria EAL-7 (Evaluated Assurance Level 7) and DO-178B level A for safety-critical avionics in aircraft.
