VirtualBox 2.2.2 released
Less than one month after the release of version 2.2 of VirtualBox, Sun Microsystems has announced the release of version 2.2.2 of it's open source desktop virtualisation application for x86 hardware. VirtualBox 2.2.2 is a maintenance and bug fix release that addresses a number of issues in the last major update.
A number of problems that affected hosts and guests running the X window system have been addressed and preliminary support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard has been updated. Additional fixes in the release include GUI updates, a DHCP lease bug on guest systems running on some Windows hosts, a possible memory leak in CBindings and several install and un-install issues in the Windows installer.
More details about the release can be found in the change log. Version 2.2 of VirtualBox is available to download for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Solaris. A 246 page user manual is also provided. VirtualBox is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
