The Ubuntu developers are asking that users help test the Suspend and Resume function used in Ubuntu 9.04. The testing is done by a test script packaged in checkbox version 0.7 (part of the just released Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope" first beta). The script being used runs a series of tests on the system by starting and stopping sleep mode (suspend and resume) for different periods of time.

The tests should take approximately half an hour. The first few tests require users to unplug and reconnect the AC power cord. Once the main tests start, "no further intervention will be needed." The developers goal is to fix as many bugs as possible before the final release of Ubuntu 9.04. Users are being asked to provide feedback and report any bugs they may find.
