Ubuntu One Windows client in beta
The long planned Windows client for Canonical's Ubuntu One online service has now entered the public beta phase. Users wishing to try the software out will first need to register as testers. Canonical says that it will approve all applicants over the next few weeks.
Ubuntu One Windows is currently only able to carry out file synchronisation – functions such as synchronisation of contacts, bookmarks and notes will be added in the coming months. An overview of the state of development of the Windows client can be found on the Ubuntu wiki – a list of known bugs is available on Launchpad.
