Transmission 1.90 improves magnet link support
The Transmission developers have announced the release of version 1.90 of their popular cross-platform BitTorrent peer-to-peer file sharing client. The latest update addresses a number of bugs and includes several changes and updates to the previous 1.8x branch.
Transmission 1.90 features an option to disable the .part
suffix for incomplete files, adds a priority selector to GUI client's when adding a new torrent and improves support for magnet links. Other notable changes include the addition of a tracker tab to the web client inspector and faster parsing of torrent files. A loss of configuration files issue caused by "Disk is Full" errors and a crashing bug when updating the blacklist on Mac systems have also been addressed. The developers advise all users to update to the latest release.
More details about the release can be found in the release announcement and in the Change log. Transmission 1.90 is available to download for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. Users that currently have Transmission installed can use the built-in "Check for Updates" feature. Transmission is dual-licensed under the MIT License and version 2 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv2).
