TorqueBox brings a range of components to the JBoss platform

The JBoss-Rails project makes it possible to run Ruby-on-Rails applications on the JBoss Application Server. The project is now part of the newly established TorqueBox project which aims to be a "ninja-grade Ruby applications platform". TorqueBox provides support for Ruby-On-Rails 2.2+ applications, with a cluster capable web container and JDBC database drivers powering the ActiveRecord models. It also provided job scheduling and task queues for application management and SOAP and SIP session control for interoperability.

The code from the JBoss-Rails project has been incorporated into TorqueBox and the original project is to be moth-balled. TorqueBox is licensed under the LGPL and the 1.0.0.Beta11 version is available to download.
