This week, UK-based VPN and web proxy service provider Hide My Ass! acknowledged that it had helped to track down an alleged member of the LulzSec hacker group who was arrested by the FBI. Following the recently disclosed SSL/TLS vulnerability, the Firefox development team said that it is considering disabling Oracle's Java plug-in to protect users, and security specialists made suggestions about how to protect against it. The developers at Kernel.org provided an update on the site's status, and version 3.2 of the GTK+ GUI library was released with support for Wayland and HTML5.
