Talend Integration Factory launched

Talend has launched the Talend Integration Factory, based on the Apache Camel integration framework. It offers a production ready version of the framework which allows integrators to connect multiple applications, over multiple transports, on different platforms. "Out of the box", the Integration Factory supports protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, XMPP and RSS; formats including EDI, JSON, CSV and HL7; and it can be scripted in JSR223 compatible languages, including Groovy, JavaScript and Ruby. Other components are available from the Camel project to build up the framework's light-weight architecture.

One difference between Camel and Integration Factory is that the latter works with Talend Open Studio to allow easier development and deployment of integration patterns. The Talend Integration Factory comes as a single installable package, configured for ease of deployment in OSGi, Servlet, Java EE, other containers or standalone environments. Talend Integration Factory is licensed under the Apache Licence 2.0 and is available to download now.
