SystemRescueCd 1.3.0 released

SystemRescueCD The SystemRescueCD developers have released version 1.3.0 of their Linux distribution aimed at administering or repairing an operating system and recovering data after a system crash. The SystemRescueCd is based on the Gentoo LiveCD and the kernel supports a wide variety of file systems including Ext2, Ext3 and Ext4, ReiserFS, XFS, JFS, VFAT, NTFS, ISO9660 and the more recent Btrfs.

The release features the latest 2.6.31 Linux kernel, version 4.6.1 of the Xfce desktop environment, Python 2.6.2 and Firefox 3.5.2. The update also includes a new version of FSArchiver that improves NTFS file system support, an advanced release of the NTFS-3G read/write NTFS driver and the latest 1.41.9 release of the E2fsprogs Ext2/Ext3/Ext4 file system utilities.

More details about the release are available in the change log and an online manual is provided. Version 1.3.0 of the SystemRescueCD is available to download as a 235.6 MB ISO image file. SystemRescueCd is licensed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License (GPLv2).
