Stephen Fry appears in a new FSF video talking about free software and what it means to him. Fry, known for his comedy, acting, novels and film-making, is also a self described gadget fan. The video is a five minute introduction to free software, the ideas behind it, and what GNU and Linux are.

The video is available to download from the site and according to Peter Brown, the FSF's executive director "is not just a celebration, but a rallying call for the work that still needs to be done". The release of the video is part of the run up to Software Freedom Day on the 20th of September.

Which free software Stephen Fry was running on the MacBook Air that sits next to him in the video was not disclosed.
