Starfish PBX Management Tool for Asterisk

Starfish PBX is a new management front end for the Asterisk VoIP software from Romanian VoIP solutions provider Telesoft. It has been designed as an open source alternative to Digium's Switchvox, but the developers are quick to note that it is not a clone. Currently, the software is described as being of "alpha release quality" and the developers hope that the community will help them get to a "stable release as soon as possible".

Starfish PBX is licensed under the Telesoft Public Licence 1.0. This license attempts to separate distribution of the code as just software, or as part of a hardware bundle. The licence says that it offers "the same freedoms as the GPL licence" for software only redistribution, but a commercial licence with Telesoft is required if it is distributed as part of a hardware solution.
