The stable version 1.9 of Adventure PHP Framework is now available. The framework is designed to help implement object-oriented, generic and reusable PHP web applications. It supports developers who are implementing applications modelled on known object-orientation design patterns. The new release puts its main focus on adding flexibility to the configuration of services that are offered worldwide and on extending existing components to simplify the implementation of applications. In the course of incrementing from version 1.8 the developers have tidied up the code and removed six now deprecated components.

With the revision of the filter API input filters have been added to the form taglibs to enhance the security of web applications. The revised usermanagement module can now be used as a generic and multi-tenancy user management back end for several applications. The ImageManager now possesses a consolidated programming interface, and the database can now be used directly via the GenericORMapper. The pager component has also been revised to make it fully compatible with the GenericORMapper.
