Spring 3.0 Milestone 3 Released

SpringSource logo SpringSource has announced the availability of Spring 3.0 Milestone 3. The latest milestone release of the open source Spring framework for Java applications is noted as the first milestone that has reference documentation in HTML and PDF. Spring 3.0 M3 features annotated factory methods to define managed beans, extended support for meta-annotations, an abstracted TaskScheduler API to make scheduling more portable and new converter APIs.

SpringSource is now working on Spring 3.0 RC1, due to be released in June. The release candidate will see the addition of annotation based validation based on JSR 303's Bean Validation specification. Spring 3.0 M3 is available to download and is licensed under the Apache Licence 2.0.
