SourceForge has announced free hosting and support for Git, Bazaar and Mercurial which are the three leading distributed Source Code Management (SCM) systems. SourceForge.net is the largest open source hosting site and already provides support for the CVS and Subversion SCM systems. Ross Turk, the director of community at SourceForge says "Git, Bazaar and Mercurial, accompanied by our popular Subversion and CVS support, put us on the path toward a very well-rounded SCM tool set,".

The service is now available to all open source projects registered on the site.
