Solaris Express Community Edition, build 111, released

Solaris Express Community Edition (aka Nevada) build 111 has been released. Originally planned as a stabilisation build, build 111 will be a foundation for the OpenSolaris 2009.06 release. The build concentrates on bug fixes and relatively few new features are introduced.

Significant changes in this build include; the Mozilla Foundation Firefox browser upgraded to 3.1 beta 3 and Thunderbird upgraded to 2.0.0.19, Flash player is upgraded to 10 (10.0.22.87) and MySQL 5.1.30 is integrated (along with previous version 5.0.67).

Sun Microsystems Solaris Express Community Edition (SXCE) is an unsupported “bleeding edge” development release of Sun's open source UNIX, OpenSolaris.

Solaris XCE build 111 is available to download from the Sun Microsystems web site.
