Sourcesense has announced version 0.7 of its Alfresco OpenSSO integration extension. Alfresco , the open source enterprise content management system, has a number of front ends which can require authentication. OpenSSO, which was launched by Sun Microsystems last October, provides the ability to pull together various services under a single sign-on model and the Alfresco/OpenSSO integration lets administrators place the various Alfresco front ends, such as the web client, sharing, web scripts and SURF, in an OpenSSO domain, giving users the ability to use those services without repeatedly logging in.

The Sourcesense integration also allows for guest access, log-out, synchronisation of groups between the OpenSSO system and Alfresco and automatic creation of users and groups in Alfresco based on the OpenSSO schema. The extension is licensed under the Apache 2 licence and a getting started guide is also available.
