Serna Free Open Source XML Editor 4.2

Syntext has announced the release of version 4.2 of its Serna Free Open Source XML Editor. The Serna editor is a cross-platform WYSIWYG XML editor that is intended to be easy-to-use and that supports popular XML document types, including DITA, Docbook, XHTML, TEI P4 and NITF. Syntext also offers an enterprise version of Serna which starts at $948 that includes additional features, such as technical support, ActiveX support, WebDAV support and integration with Antenna House's XSL formatting tools.

The Serna Free Open Source XML Editor is available to download for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. According to Syntext, a binary package for Solaris will also be available soon. Serna Free Open Source XML Editor 4.2 is released under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3) with exceptions.
