Codenamed "Picnic Basket", the latest release of ScummVM adds support for 11 new games and includes several new features. A number of bugs have also been fixed. ScummVM is a collection of engines that allow classic games from publishers such as LucasArts, AdventureSoft and Revolution to run on modern hardware and operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and many others.

Version 1.5.0 of ScummVM now includes support for TrueType fonts in the software's user interface. Several of the included game engines have received new options and ScummVM's emulation code has also been improved. A complete list of features for the new version is available from the project's pages on SourceForge.

ScummVM is available for download as binaries or source from the project's web site and is licensed under the GPLv2. The games that ScummVM runs are generally proprietary and users will have to take appropriate steps to legally acquire the relevant data files.
