Right Scale logo RightScale have announced the availability of RightScale-BI, a cloud based business intelligence service based around the open source products from JasperSoft, Talend and database providers Vertica, to create a complete stack for analysis. The architecture of the system, which runs on Amazon EC2 instances, has Talend's data integration tools feeding data into the Vertica analytics database. The data is then analysed using Jaspersoft's business intelligence tools.

RightScale believe the service will be ideal for organisations who want to create analytical sandboxes on demand, or want to prototype BI systems and applications, without investing in the required infrastructure. The service will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis and a 30 free trial is available.
