RubyGems - RubyGems, the essential package management tool for Ruby development, has been updated to version 1.3.0. The new release has some new features, most notable of which is the ability to install gem files into ~/.gem/ if the path set in GEM_HOME is not writable. Existing users can update to RubyGems 1.3.0 by running gem update --system. If a "Nothing to install" message appears, use gem install rubygems-update and repeat the first command. Full details are available for all the changes.

Bouncy Castle Crypto - The Legion of the Bouncy Castle has updated its library of implementations of cryptographic implementations, Bouncy Castle Crypto 1.41. The new release includes a faster, smaller version of Camellia, numerous bug fixes for compatibility and support for personalised certificates in PGP Secret Keyrings. The update is available to download from the developers site.
