Gears 0.4 - Google announced a new release of Gears, the browser extension which adds local databases and offline abilities to browsers. Gears now has a Geolocation API, to enable location-aware applications, and a Blob API to let the database manage arbitrary binary data. The Geolocation API is also a W3C editors draft, indicating Google are opening up the development of the Gears API.

Mime4J - The Apache James Project released Mime4j 0.4, a library for parsing mime email messages. The major new feature in 0.4 is the addition of a pull parser with other changes listed in the release notes.
