Python 2.6.3 released
The Python developers have announced the release of version 2.6.3 of their free scripting language. The third bug fix release of the Python 2.6 development branch contains almost 100 bug fixes and revisions to the previous 2.6.2 release from mid-April.
The developers encourage users to report any bugs that they find in the release. The current stable 3.x branch release is Python 3.1.1 from the middle of August, but this release cycle is incompatible with the 2.x development line.
More details about the release can be found in the release notes. Python 2.6.3 is available to download and is licensed under the GPL compatible Python Licence.
