Plex celebrates 100th plug-in

The Plex developers are celebrating the news that there are now over 100 plug-ins available in their Plex Media Center store. The free plug-ins are used to gather online content from various sources, including CNN.com Video, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, Joost and Netflix. A typical plug-in is usually no more than 100 lines of code. More information on plug-in development and a list of user created unsupported plug-ins are available on the Plex wiki.
Plex is a skinable fork of the XBMC Media Center for Mac OS X 10.5 that includes several customised additions to support a wide range of audio, video and image formats. The current stable release of Plex is version 0.8.1 released under the GNU General Public License (GPL2), apart from the Plex Media Server which is currently closed source and connects to the GPL licensed client over the network.
