Zoom Personas on Firefox 3.1 Beta 3
Personas is a Mozilla Labs experiment that lets users easily change the appearance of their standard gray Firefox web browser. The Personas are lightweight "skins" for the web browser that change the look of Firefox by changing the header and footer areas, while leaving the navigation buttons and menus alone. Themes for Firefox have been around for some time, however, they can be complicated for developers to create and harder for users to install or change. The Mozilla Labs developers wanted graphic designers to be able to "style the browser" without having to write any code.

To use Personas, Firefox users are initially required to install the Personas extension, available for free at GetPersonas.com. Once the extension is installed, users can easily select and change their Persona at any time by clicking on the fox mask in the lower left-hand corner of the browser window or by visiting the Personas gallery which includes over 500 designs.

Details on how to create Personas for Firefox are available and more details about Firefox Personas can be found in the Personas FAQ.
