PCLinuxOS Logo The PCLinuxOS developers have released "some fresh ISOs" for the various editions of their Linux distribution. Based on the 2.6.33.7bfs Linux kernel, PCLinuxOS 2010.12 features NVIDIA and ATI fglrx driver support and multimedia playback support for a variety of popular formats.

Other changes include updates to wireless networking drivers and improved printer support, as well as a number of updated packages. Using 'addlocale', users can choose from more than 60 different languages for PCLinuxOS. Once installed, the MyLiveCD option allows users to burn a snapshot of their installation to a LiveCD or DVD – alternatively, the PCLinuxOS-LiveUSB makes it easy to install PCLinuxOS onto a USB flash drive.

Further information about the 2010.12 release can be found in the official release announcement. PCLinuxOS 2010.12 is available to download for KDE 4, GNOME, LXDE, Xfce and Enlightenment desktops from the project's site. Existing PCLinuxOS users should receive the updates via the built-in update functionality.
