Opsview logo Opsera have released Opsview Community 3.3.0, a web based network monitoring and management application which builds on Nagios, Nagvis, Net-SNMP and RRDtool. Internationalisation is the major new feature of the 3.3.0 release. The developers say that although currently they only support UK English as an official language, they have included initial translations for Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Swedish and Turkish and are working on Spanish and French translations themselves. Opsera say they are looking for help in creating and verifying future translations.

The 3.3.0 release also includes an automated system survey tool which reports system configuration information to Opsera for future planning purposes. The survey tool can generate an alert when a new version is available. The release also includes a number of user interface enhancements and more graphing options; full details are available in the change log. Source code is available to download from the Opsview Sourceforge project page, while binary packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Solaris 10, Ubuntu and Debian are also available to download, along with a VMWare Player image for evaluation. Opsview Community is licensed under the GPLv2, as is the commercially supported Opsview Enterprise.
