Two veterans from Microsoft's Business Division have joined the management of Openbravo, the Spanish ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PoS (Point of Sale) specialist. Jesper Balser, co-founder and CEO of Navision, which Microsoft acquired in 2002, has joined the Openbravo Board of Directors. Cees Poortman, formerly the Managing Director of Navision Netherlands and Director for Microsoft Business Solutions, is joining the Openbravo management team as the Vice President of Global Commercial Operations.

Openbravo is the manufacturer of an open source ERP suite that in 2007 took over the Librepos PoS solution. In May 2008, the Pamplona company of about 100 employees, received a second round of funding of $12 million in venture capital from several investors.
